We recognize that not everyone has the blessing to be able to get out and run a good race, or just run or walk for fitness or for fun. There are those in our community for whom even a few steps is a struggle. There are others for whom a hot meal, a shower, and a serviceable pair of shoes is a rare treat. As people of faith, we are called to use our talents to help one another. So we decided to use our love of running to serve. And we want to invite others, regardless of your religious conviction, to join us.
Look at our beneficiaries below and see that we are running on behalf of those who are limited in the ability to walk; and we are running on behalf of those for whom the streets we use as racetracks often serve them as home.
We are convinced that Happy Feet 5K will bring some relief to these people and will, in the joy we feel as we run and walk, ultimately give glory to God.

Proyecto Sin Paredes is a nonprofit institution organized under the laws of Puerto Rico in 1996. A group of professional volunteers was given the task of providing free services to the adult community with physical handicaps, in the area of social integration, recreation and orientation, and at the same time raising awareness in the community to the needs of our adults with physical limitations.
Our vision is to help adults with physical disabilities to break down barriers and to face new goals in their respective lives. Our mission is to satisfy the needs, both physical and emotional, of the adults with disabilities to contribute and/or improve their quality of life. Proyecto Sin Paredes annually provides Camp without Walls, a summer camp where for about 100 adults with physical limitations, each with a volunteer who becomes that person’s legs and arms during the 5 days and nights of the camp. At camp we offer the tools for a better social integration, intellectual enrichment, emotional support, and workshops and conferences in the area of health and legal rights, in addition to recreational and artistic activities. All of the people that work in Proyecto Sin Paredes do so voluntarily, for free, and there is never a charge to those who receive the services, therefore each donation received goes directly to help the population served.
